2013 End Of Year Update
MORAGA’S STATE OF THE TOWN ADDRESS - In late November, Mayor Trotter presented a photographic summary of the Town’s accomplishments in 2013, as well as scenes from the many community events held during the year in his State of the Town Address. The slide show ends with photos of the many residential development plans currently under consideration, as well as brief descriptions of several 2014 projects the Town Council and Town Staff will continue to work on. This informative material can be accessed here: http://www.moraga.ca.us/council/StateOfTheTownAddress-2013-Final_ReducedSize.pdf
SHOP MORAGA FIRST! - Our businesses thrive, as do our many service organizations, schools, and Scout and sports programs, when we do as much shopping in Moraga as we can. So in this holiday season, challenge yourself to see how many gifts you can buy right here in town. There are no long lines; parking is quick and easy; AND 1% of the sales tax stays right here in Moraga and will pay for the repair of our roads.
FREE WRAPPING MATERIALS - After shopping, you can take your purchases over to 5A Rent a Space, 455 Moraga Road, and wrap everything on their spacious tables, complete with all the free paper, ribbon, bows, etc. that you need.
KIWANIS SELLS SEE’S CANDY BOXES - The main location of this sale is in the shop right next door to Starbuck’s in the Rheem Shopping Center. Candy can also be bought in CVS, Rheem store, and at the Moraga Farmers’ Market. The price is the same as in any See’s retail store. Low-cost mailing is available, as is gift-wrapping. The revenue made during this sale goes to many charities, including county food banks, local school educational funds, and others.
